Moscatel Kingsman 1919
- Description
It is with great pride that José Maria da Fonseca presents the Moscatel Kingsman Century Edition 1919. This Moscatel is a limited edition of 500 bottles made in collaboration with the famous director Matthew Vaughn and MARV to celebrate the release of the film The King's Man.
This collaboration celebrates tradition, luxury and the recognition of unique artisanal techniques that are the hallmark of Kingsman and that represent the long heritage of José Maria da Fonseca wines.
This muscatel comes from vineyards certainly planted in the clay-limestone soils of Serra da Arrábida. There is nothing written about the climate of that agricultural year, but there must not have been too many adversities as the quality of this 1919 proves it.
From its creation until 2019, it was aged at Adega dos Teares Velhos in 500 liter casks of used wood. After reaching 100 years of age, some bottles were bottled, thus demonstrating their great genius.
As for the tasting notes, this is recognized for its brown color loaded with gold and hints of green, presenting a very harmonious aroma with touches of dried fruits such as walnuts and toasted almonds, coffee, black tea, toasted bread and very ripe pineapple, obtaining a very fruity, eccentric but smooth aroma and an excellent balance of acidity and a very long aftertaste.
