Periquita Reserva Red 2021

Periquita wine is known as the first red wine bottled in Portugal. This innovation reflects its originality and the reflection of Portugality arises from its presence at the table of the Portuguese – of all of us – since 1850.

Periquita Reserva is both an heir to the true tradition of the Periquita brand and a vision of the future.

As for the tasting notes, this is recognized for its red color, presenting an aroma of coffee and forest fruits, obtaining a fresh and velvety palate with a touch of coffee and well-integrated tannins, which gives it a medium finish.

The fermentation of this wine takes place for 7 days at 26ºC, with total maceration, and its aging lasts 8 months in new and used French and American oak (new wood).

In order to enjoy this magnificent wine in its magnitude, it should accompany red meat and cheeses, and be served at a temperature of 16ºC.
